About Chris

I'm a freelance web developer, currently living in Seattle by way of South Florida. I have a fairly colourful background, with a 3-year BA in Economics with a focus in Econometrics from the University of California at San Diego. During my university years, I ended up on the TV game show "Jeopardy!", and ended up being a one day champion. After graduating, I have worked both types of front-end development jobs, both as content manager for single company websites, and as a head of web development for a design studio. Currently, I'm working as a web developer for the World Adult Kickball Association.

My main focus of development is with the Drupal CMS. Traditionally, I work with theming and site implementation, although I can develop custom modules. Within that niche, the majority of my projects involve Drupal and Ubercart, or Drupal and CiviCRM. I chose this combination because community sites are beginning to discover alternate monetization streams through stores, and even if they haven't yet, using Drupal gives them the flexibility to do whatever they need in the future. I'm also involved in both the local Seattle Drupal Users Group as well as the Fort Lauderdale Drupal Users Group.

Outside of work, my hobbies include trivia, cribbage, hockey, and cooking.  I'm a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan, and stick with them no matter how many years it's been since their last cup win (it was 1967).  I'm also an American Cribbage Congress certified judge, and play around a half dozen tournaments a year throughout the United States.
